Lessons learned:

It's harder than you may think. I wasn't even pretending not to be a sockpuppet (just a game for guessing our hundredth member on a list), so there were no issues of an "identity" to keep straight, and I still almost managed to reply under the wrong username. Thank goodness for YIM, that gave me notifications of my regular mail, while I was signed in as Maleks_sock, or I would've had to keep signing out and signing in. It was a hassle.

But it's also very, very easy. I could've been Maleks_sock and no one would have known. Although if I had some evil purpose I wouldn't name it a sock, as that would kinda defeat the purpose. I thought it would be over quicker, honestly. I tried to give clues kinda vaguely to keep the playing field more level with those who aren't over here on lj, but they were clearly too vague (or people weren't reading the bad poetry, for which I really can't blame anyone (g)).

And nobody believed I can be that silly, which is a mistake this quiz surely has corrected, yes?

yay for Tels who figured it out. :D

actually i forgot about you thing about sock puppets :P
I was insanely jealous... would love to be malek's sock or malek's towel or malek's anything actually. stops before this gets x rated as there as small children watching me type :P

I expected someoene on lj to twig to the sockpuppet thing eventually. But I didn't want to keep it going too long, so thank you for putting it all together.

But really, it was the Baal ref I thought might give it away. How many people on list are raving Baal fangirls? Uh, me. (a few others, but they were already out of contention by that point).

Hee, and yes, I thought about being maleks-something else, but decided that would be more distracting than I probably needed. :)

Just though I drop by and say Hi, and see how you were doing.

I actually got it from the poem that mentioned seven fics, but I didn't check my email in time. I had a few seconds of 'yay I figured it out' before seeing Tels' message already waiting a few lines down. Oh well.

yay, go you, smarty pants! And that was (relatively) early in the clues too.

the good thing about the prize is that everyone gets to share in it, really. And I can add to my number of fics. ;)

I know, I'm a bad, bad girl. I made a puppet, but he tragically was born, lived, and died all in one day. *sniff* :)

Hi yourself! Not much going on here (thus explaining why I entertain myself with socks). You're off to China soon, right? I'd like to go again -- I was only there once, way back in '88, but it was very interesting.

Did you ever read any more of DR? Inquiring minds want to know...

Hi

Yes we will be leaving for China on the 17th of August and in a few weeks I will start to get excited. Still have a trip to Ft. Benning and a trip to Ft. Campbell to get through. Ugh! Including the week at Ft. Benning (most of the time outside in the heat).

As far as reading DR? Right now it seems I am getting into a Lois McMaster Bujould novel, it is one of her Miles novels.
