I have to believe President Blair Underwood's cabinet has been infiltrated by EVIL when two of his main staffers are played by Tony Todd and Zeljko Ivanek, right? I mean, all they need is Gregory Itzin and the Trifecta of DOOOOOM is complete.

But wow, this show is constructed stupidly.

LOL.

So what exactly is the plot of this show, anyway? I wasn't home last night to watch it, but I have to admit I was intrigued by all those WE'RE NOT TELLING YOU WHAT THE EVENT REFERS TO commercials.

I KNOW, EH? I was looking around that meeting all "Dude! Your cabinet types are CLEARLY EVIL!"

And also: weird show.

there's this ... thing ... that happens. and hen we get weird nested flashbacks (13 hours ago, 2 hours ago, etc) to show really boring backstory. Blair Underwood is the president. And there are aliens or high tech or something causing weird stuff (kind of like Flashforward) and ...I'm not really sure because the husband turned to news. :)

that was the best part of what I saw. Pity they had all that money and blow it. At least Flashforward had a good pilot, even if it fell apart later -- this one is just so wtf? I can't even understand how NBC let it get to that stage.

Ah, so it's a mystery even if you watch the show? Meh.

ah, having actually read the recap it appears I did miss stuff at the end, so in all fairness, they did get into it. I'm very impatient with the flashback structure when all the good stuff is happening in the present and the flashbacks are boring and seemingly unnecessary. Crash the plane, people! Get the party started early!
