Realistically, I'd have to say no. Even for this piece I had to sort of fanwank it to myself that Adama doesn' t have all that much choice, since there's practically no one on board. (I just really want S.3 to open with a shot of Sharon coming on the bridge, no matter how unlikely (g)) He trusts Sharon only to a point. After all, it's not as if her loyalties have been much tested during the year. In fact, it's quite possible he might believe that she, being paroled, had somehow brought the Cylons there. Adama of course never hears that it's the explosion that brought them, so he may have his own ideas about how the Cylons found New Caprica.
Someone else (a different type of commander) might, I think, be willing to give Sharon the chance to prove herself. But my reading of Adama is that he wouldn't be willing to take the risk. Until and unless he's really, really desperate, since he can be bold. But figuring out where he'd draw the line... that's a story on its own right there. Get away rabid little plot bunny! (g)
