Sunday we went to the Festival of Books, which is this really awesome event held at UCLA each year. It's huge. I missed out on the festival merchandise, which is sad because it had the MOST ADORABLE caterpillar from "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" on it (Eric Carle was one of the big guests), but otherwise it was great fun. Kidlet liked listening to some of the story times, though he was also a bit overwhelmed by the crowd. I found a really great booth for a company that specializes in bilingual children's books, and bought him a couple of picture books in English and Japanese, to introduce him to what Japanese looks like.

I had a headache which made me sick to my stomach - that's the first time I've ever bought crackers at Ackerman Union, I think. We also supported our alma mater, by buying more t-shirts for everyone. I think I'm incapable of NOT buying a shirt when I'm on campus.

It's come to my attention that my [livejournal.com profile] stargate_summer story is due in about three weeks! OMG!

COMMENCE PANICKED FLAILING! Yes, it's Yuletide Madness in May!

And speaking of Stargate, you can read my recap for "Exodus", HERE .
