hee. I don't hate it, but it's clearly flawed in execution someplace. I blame editing since that's where it is most clearly, and some of the things Jane has said got cut seem to bear it out. Looking at the episode the things that sort of come out of nowhere, really don't - it's just the emphasis is all screwed up, so you have things like Lack of Love Kills being made concrete when it should've been left vague, and the reasoning behind arming Baltar's cult gets left for the audience to fill in because they cut out all the explanation for it. It's just ... weird choices.

While we were watching Desert Cantos, hubby objected to how scruffy and inappropriate everyone looked. He was all "Derek couldn't even bother to SHAVE?" um, it's part of his charm, hon. heh.

And yeah, she wouldn't be pushing him so hard if he wasn't threatening something, don't you think? Part of it is being protective of her memory of Kyle, but hell, when even Head!Kyle is telling her to chill, girlfriend's got something going. And when Jesse's Sudden and Inevitable Betrayal occurs, Derek's going to start giving Sarah more of a chance, too, I think. But their division is a clear weakness, and one I hope they overcome soon, even if it's not in a shippy way.
