Phew! I am back at the line and on track for NaNo again. Thank goodness for someone getting shot! That was three thousand words right there.

It's funny because I tend to write mostly the dialogue and short-hand the description/action scenes when I'm cruising along at this kind of pace. If I could go back and flesh it all out, it would actually get longer.

In an hour I get to go to the DMV where they are forcing me to renew my driver's license in person. :( I'm going to bring my notebook and write some more, as I've heard very bad things about how long I might have to wait. With any luck it won't be too bad (in theory I have an appointment, but -- theory is often wrong when it comes to understaffed DMV offices).If you don't hear back from me, send out the dogs, since I'm probably still trapped there. But it would be nice to get a little ahead on NaNo if I'm going to be forced to sit around anyway.

ah, you have never felt the Eye Daggers of Hate until you are waiting at the DMV and someone calls your number first, when they have been waiting since before you got there. Um, not my fault for having an appointment, and you don't, lady. and also. neener neener

oh, eee, the signups summary for Yuletide is up at AO3. It really speaks to the UTTER GEEK in me, I think, looking at the list of requests vs offers (and of course, checking how many offers MY requests have *g*).
