Summary: Kara reaches the brig to rescue the prisoners a little too late for Sam, and maybe too late for the future.

Note: I put in two cuts: one for the beginning scene which contains rape (which is brutal if not as explicit as it could be), and the second to skip straight to the aftermath and rescue. I tried not to sugarcoat the aftermath too much, so even part 2 should be read with caution. Though there's also some shippiness, so it's not all dark. Frankly this seized me and wouldn't let go - I'm putting it up because I want it out of my head.

First, I just want to thank the commenters on my earlier fic. I'll go through individually, but considering I was thinking about not posting at all or flocking it, you all gave me the confidence boost I needed. I think I got so wrapped in the fic, that I forgot, y'know, that it's not REAL, and it was okay to post it. I keep rereading it compulsively though - this can't be normal. LET IT GO, ME. (I think fic-brain wants to keep going, but I just can't.)

Oh, here's a clumsy transition: That fic, were it a songfic, would be "You Found Me" by the Fray (that's where the fic title comes from), and hey, they did an official LOST vid to that song...
