Sometime over the weekend, while I was looking for that chunk o fic that got lost in the ether, I was turning the story over in my head, reading over what I'd done before and some notes. And suddenly the answer to my plot problem fell from the sky! It was awesome.
I think perhaps I just needed to make the decision to step away from the Plot!Kraken (after the final part of Gates posts, I'm putting it aside til canon closes), to sort of mentally clear the decks, so to speak.
Though of course, as is always a problem for me, I HAVE TO WRITE the next really exciting bit RIGHT NOW. So I have a thousand words of something which isn't going to happen for awhile in the story (but omg, it's so awesome! *dances*) But at least it's a signpost in the road ahead.
That is always the best feeling when the story coalesces into place.

However, possible buyers who have not read the term of sale contract in the back should note that the final price for any item is the hammer price, PLUS 20% buyer's premium, PLUS 8.25% CA sales tax. A $300 item is going to cost nearly 400 when all is said and done (and that's not counting shipping if you're bidding online).
So, y'know, when you're contemplating that $ 20,000 full-scale Raider, don't forget that whatever the price is at "SOLD!" is only a part of what you're going to pay.
