This would be why I don't usually do these things!
Let's see, yesterday's highlight was watching kidlet and his cousin play hide-and- seek, because there is nothing funnier than a five-year-old (five year old, OMG) telling his 11-year-old cousin HE'S DOIN' IT WRONG!
(however, I have to mention that my sister-in-law, who is a lovely and generous person, gave us six very nice cupcakes. But kidlet can't eat them - which means no one's eating them until he goes to bed. No way we can eat six before they go stale. Gotta find someone else to dump them on.... )
Today -- hm. I got my mother's xmas present finally. phew. Not so much happy-making as relieved. I wrapped some other presents, went shopping, and survived kidlet's first day of winter break!

I hope my writing mojo comes back for Yuletide Madness tomorrow, when the list of all the requests goes up and people go crazy and write drabbles and longer. But so far I've been pretty useless in the writing department.
However, I NEED the SG-1/"Lost Treasure of the Grand Canyon" crossover. RIGHT NOW. fandom, DO NOT FAIL ME. (and don't make me write it myself; I have no time for that!)
Especially when the idea of Bruce Wayne fighting the machines is sort of percolating in the back of my brain. Don't look at me that way -- it could be Patrick Bateman becoming 'John Connor'....
(This is my brain after crazy shopping and too many viewings of the Salvation trailer. It's a scary, scary crack-filled place most of the time)
