Observations--

First: there were soundtracks for the t.v. series 'Whistler'. WTF? This Canadian show, to my knowledge, has only been shown here in the US on some obscure cable channel once (and I discovered it was shown at all too late.) I only know about it because I wanted to know what Ingrid Kavelaars was doing lately, and discovered it's chock full of other actors I like, like Nicholas Lea. (so if anyone has it and would like to share? I'd love you) It's not on DVD here. So WHY is there a soundtrack? Or, more to the point, why were there FOUR COPIES of the soundtrack for a t.v. show that maybe a handful of people in the whole CITY have seen? *blink blink*

Second: I did not realize that Robin of Sherwood has finally been released on DVD here. WOOT! When I was in the UK many years ago, I bought it, tragically not understanding the difference between Region 1 and Region 2. So I'm all excited to see it, for I have many fond memories. (and it will probably not hold up under my rosy glow of nostalgia, but I'm going to watch anyway).

Third: the anime section is going to take over all DVD soon. It used to be one group of shelves next to the sci-fi, now it's an entire row all by itself. (I saw Appleseed, btw; interesting, but I'm glad I waited til cable)

Fourth: I'm still irritated every time I see the SG-1 slimpaks that we can't exchange the packaging. I would gladly ship all my giant boxes to MGM and get the slimpaks instead -- I have the discs for the first eight seasons in a case right now (and the packaging taking up vital action figure space in the garage). Functional but not very pretty. Stupid MGM.
