Weekend notes

-- Watching Chronicles of Riddick. I don't get why so many people were so down on this movie. Some people rant on it like crazy, but it's not that bad. It takes itself too seriously, but that's hardly the worst flaw ever. It's got some nifty ideas and it's visually arresting in parts. It's also one of the few SF movies that take place in SPACE. Interesting concept, no? But not one in much use lately.

-- Why is it any story of mine that touches on the Final Five must, for some reason, get all philosophical? I have very nearly binned the latest for screeching to a slow crawl, but maybe I can salvage it somehow. Perhaps put porn in it? That'll break up the tedium ... but wait, I can't ship Sharon and Sam, that's just all kinds of WRONG.

hm. Would anybody read OT4 with Sam/Kara/Helo/Sharon? *looks hopeful* No? ah well. I'll sit on it some more.
