Random LotR geekgasm

of interest to few, but I have to glee!

I received my Sideshow Collectibles 12" Legolas figure yesterday and finally opened it when I got home tonight. Just the packaging is freaking gorgeous! It's about a million times better than the 12" Toy Biz made for the films. (yes, I have the tie-in Barbies as well, what can I say?). Plus I admire that Sideshow's boldness -- they put a photo of the figure and still from the film side-by-side.

The likeness isn't perfect, but I love the cloth clothing, and the interchangeable hands so he can use the bow or the knives. It's all very detailed and beautiful.

But I looked at it and then hurried it back into the bubble wrap and its box, terrified that the rugrat would get his grubby paws all over it. So I have no picture.

And my husband got an equivalent 13" Batman figure for Christmas (at his request), so he can't say ONE WORD (even if he thinks he's less of a geek than I am, *piffle!* I say) Yes, this is why we're married. heh

Meanwhile, I have written not one word of the pinch-hit in two days. Please, prOn skillz, don't fail me now!


(and I have no LotR icons anymore -- Anders has eaten up a third of my slots! - so I have to make do...)
