Every time I see the promo for the "What the frak is going on with BSG?" thing tonight, it cracks me up when Tory says, "I have no clue." It's so perfect. *snerk*
Watched Exodus again and once again, want to SMACK Sammy for leaving Kara alone on the deck like that. I'm sure he just saw Charlie or Barolay or someone and went to give em a hug, but STILL. DUDE! But other than that, it remains awesome.
Interesting in light of Crossroads how overwrought Tory is about losing Hera. I don't believe the Four have been unconsciously following any programming past a general desire to help humans, but it's certainly intriguing to wonder about.
This morning I had a thought about the Final Five.
Now, the rumor goes that they don't resurrect. I'm fairly sure that comes from Aaron -- I think all RDM has ever said is that they were fundamentally different.
But it occurs to me that OF COURSE they don't resurrect. Because they can't.
Because there are no other bodies for them to download into. It wouldn't be much of a secret from the Seven if there were these other Five "unknown" model bodies sitting around in the Resurrection ship or in goo baths on the basestars waiting to be downloaded into.
Now there may very well be extra ones in cold storage/hiding on the Cylon homeworld, but the fleet(s) are way the hell away from that.
So, unless there are hidden rooms in basestars packed with copies that the Seven don't even know are there (which is possible), the Four can't resurrect. Even if they have that capability, there's nowhere to go.
(and now my punchiness is showing)
But.
If there were, the "fundamental copy" of Tigh (I am convinced Tigh has aged well past it - and his original form is younger and hotter) should be played by Hogan's son Gabriel. Without a shirt on. If that doesn't happen, it's a tragedy.
ONE DAY MORE!
(I may possibly be singing it under my breath right now. Damn you, youthful addiction to musicals!)

I have at least, AT LEAST, three more NEW SCC ficlet prompts that I want to play with (including one of Derek playing in the rain ala Aeryn Sun). *cries*

I agree that Ron was probably inspired by the War of the Gods storyline once he ended up with the Five (although I thought he rejected the Ship of Lights stuff, at least at some point). I don't think the comparison goes much deeper than that, though.
Man, I should've made a list of where I hear things and annotate it - such a freakin' bad memory for all this stuff.

It could be quite interesting if they couldnt die, beacuse this being bsg - they would propebly go and kill of one or more of them for dramatic effect.
haha - on Tigh and Hogan :D
