YAY! BAAL LOVE! I Am so annoyed by this shiny blue line right through his face. But it's good to know that there are more of us.
Perhaps I should do a picspam? um, yummy...
*smooshes him and licks him all over*
ahem.
Yuletide? Is a Secret Santa gift exchange specifically for those fandoms (books, movies, manga, RPF, whatever) that are rare or obscure or otherwise have very few fans writing fanfic in them. You sign up to request three or four fandoms that you want and in exchange you have to write a story in at least four fandoms for someone else. It is awesome, because you get a story in some well-loved fandom of your own, just for you, and you get to make someone else very happy to get a story in a fandom they love very much. It's so shiny and fun. It's my favorite ficathon, even if it's nerve-wracking in this time period before the assignments are sent off, because you never know what you're going to get until it shows up.
There are 1600 fandoms (soure materials of various kinds ranging from the Old Testament to Top Chef RPF) this year to request, and so far almost 900 participants. Yuletide Treasure (http://yuletidetreasure.org) is the site.
