Random tidbit
I'm endlessly amused that so far not one person at Mark Watches has mentioned "WE'RE GOING THE WRONG WAY!!" which is honestly one of the things I remember the most about those first two eps of S4. Because that was a THING. Wasn't it? It was SO MUCH A THING at the time. lol
But it does raise a small point I thought about --
So let's think about this for a moment. Kara was, obviously, right; they were going the wrong way when the Fleet continued on in a straight line from the Nebula. However, this raises the point -- How did the Thirteenth Tribe find Earth 1.0? They were, so far as we know, also going on a straight line toward the nebula (which was a nova at the time). Which means they were ALSO going the wrong way eventually once they passed the nebula.
So they also must've had a guide. I'm sure someone else thought about that, but I don't think I ever have, so there you go. :)
Things I think about while writing NaNo. yes. Speaking of NaNo, I definitely will need a beta. I mean, I will anyway, obv, but I have no idea if Julie is coming off as too much of a bitch right out of the gate. But it doesn't matter right now. ONWARD!

I am weirdly terrified about how Mark will react to learning that God is a) real and b) behind everything. Hopefully the Agathon Happy Ending will get him through...

Gonna depend on if he's in the camp that believes there HAS TO BE a rational explanation for everything or not; and generally it seems like he's willing to believe there are alternate explanations. He's already considered Kara was returned by something other than the Cylons, so I don't think it'll be a big revelation, tbh.

See, I was all "Woohoo! God did it! RATIONAL EXPLANATION!", but that's just me. :)

Oooh interesting thought that the Five had a guide too, I actually hadn't thought of that before.

well not them, actually. The Five might have had a guide to leave Earth, but I think not - since they were re-tracing the journey the Colony took originally. I mean the FIRST trip out when the 13th left Kobol and built the Temple of Hopes..
Obv in my fic I have the FIve as also part of that journey in a previous life, but that's pretty darn speculative..:)

It may kill you. But he's so genuinely HAPPY about most things that I don't mind the odd difference of opinion I have with him. If you watched Avatar: The Last Airbender, then I REALLY recommend it.

He does full watches/reads of things he knows nothing about. So the constant refrain is "NEVER PREPARED" as quite often the commenters are fans of the material. :)
(he's also reading the Hobbit right now, so it's like a double-fandom whammy for me)
Yes, I think it must have been one of them. I think they're the Lords of Kobol, but angels, whatever you call them, same thing. :)

And, well, yes. I also kinda assumed that they just did a lot of wandering
before Sam ended up in the gutter and experimented onWAIT. Didn't the Final Five comic cover 'led to paradise' ground? hrm. I don't remember anymore.no subject
I still wonder where they got that thing with Sam. So not the reasonable thing to take from what he said in No Exit or, like, anything. *shakes head*

eta: wiki tells me story editor, and also wrote 'Faith' (WHY, OH WHY, did that episode's author churn out a result like this? sigh)
And it's not considered canon. I just think it's hilarious.

Adama KNOWS you are going to get this done. LIKE. A. BOSS!
Woot!

But as with all the vague backstory, it's not like it couldn't be the other way. It could.

For example: I think Tyrol overreacts, because no one, not even Gaius Baltar, deserves to be choked.
I WONDER IF HE WILL CHANGE HIS MIND LATER. Given what he's said about other characters. A lot. In CAPs.
Also, I'm afraid what he's going to do when he finds out that the whole show was God's Plan. I liked it. Quite a bit, actually. But I can see Mark really hating it.
