Plotbunny - free to a good home!
mmm, The Prestige was on last night. I do love that movie. Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale can do no wrong. And Hugh Jackman is nothing to sneeze at either.
But last night something Stargate -ish occurred to me while watching David Bowie. You see, it's actually true that Nikola Tesla was based in Colorado Springs in 1899 and performed energy and atmospheric experiments there, creating lightning and electrical conduction and all sorts of things. While there, he also claimed to have received extra-terrestrial signals. And later in life, he claimed that the theory of relativity was fundamentally flawed, as well - perhaps he was the only Tau'ri who was not "very young"...
Is this an SG-1 travels-through-time fanfic or what?
Unfortunately my knowledge of physics and electrical engineering isn't up to the task, but it would be awesome. Because Sam would totally fangirl him, you know she would. She'd be going on and on about all the stuff he invented and the rest of the team would be all, huh? But he would help them find a way home in return for a glimpse of 'the future'.
*sigh* Should've been an episode, PTB. You missed your chance.

Also. How much do I love that movie for the ending? *happysigh* Oh, I am sick and twisted.

yes. The ending is perfect. Although I think I love the structure the best - and how Nolan had enough faith in the audience not to cue each flashback with a color change or fade or whatever.

Well, y'know, Nolan gets that people have brains...
