well, um, it doesn't actually have child abuse in it, but there is Kacey. And angst. Hrm. And actually, no violence, iirc. So, maybe not, in the end.

O my God, I've read that story--and yes, it's exactly as you describe: one wonders what show the author has been watching, because there's no way it's Battlestar (unless Oxygen did its own version and nobody told me). It stuck with me because of the hilarious warning.
