Burbank Stargate Creation Con was great. Full of much fangrrl SQUEEING.

Ok, I'll elaborate. A little. Full report will follow as soon as I upload my pics and write something coherent.

Yes, I will give more detail later, but he made a surprise appearance on Saturday. His very first con EVER! I was about two feet from him too. It was frakkin' incredible.

Also cool: I discovered that Jason Momoa's family and my husband's family live in the same town and probably know each other.

I spent too much money. sigh. But for someone whose main con experiences have been the humunguous San Diego Comic-con, it was a marvelously intimate convention.

For being a con virgin he was pretty closed-mouthed about spoilers. Although no one asked a direct question either, so we made it pretty easy on him. He did have news, which is a spoiler in itself and very exciting! :D

Some times smaller is betten then bigger, remebering back to the time Bob and the rest of the volenteer security people ate dinner in New York City and played laser tag with cast members from Bab5.

yeah, it was nice to be small. Not that I did anything like you (which sounds really awesome), but still, the lines were relatively short, and the actors could take their time with everyone without staff hurrying people along. Even the day pass people were sitting pretty close during the Q&A.

San Diego is a multi-track con, and four of the tracks seat over a thousand people EACH in the main halls. You can't even imagine the size of the dealer's "room" -- it's bigger than most cities' entire convention centers. The whole con is a madhouse. well, that's unfair, since it's extremely well organized, and it's tons of fun, but it's also completely overwhelming.
