Yeah, it's a weird fandom in a way where even the Loki fans are kind of divided on the issue of Loki can (or should) come back/be forgiven/whatever you want to call being not totally evil and they get all disdainful on Redemption!Loki fans for being woobie-fiers and i'm like 'Hello, were we watching the same films? That was the most woobie face I HAVE EVER SEEN when he fell. So don't even tell me that he wouldn't be conflicted in the right circumstances."

pfft. People underestimate the amount of change to his character that would happen with Frigga caring about him, and no one can convince me of that either. One could possibly read her at worst as ambivalent, but no way does she hate or dislike him. And that changes him a lot.
