This is Quite Out of hand

So I came up with this BSG/Avengers fusion verse of much funness --

Kara -- Natasha (Obvs)
Sam -- Hawkeye
Tigh --- Fury (c'mon, that's a gimme)
Lee -- Cap
Baltar - Iron Man (you have to imagine a bit more outright heroism in Gaius, but the wealthy genius skirt-chaser part was easy)
Caprica -- Pepper
Gaeta -- Banner (cuz the mutiny was kind of Gaeta's big green rage monster moment, y/y? Plus all Tony/Bruce shippers get to sail merrily along undisturbed,lol)
Dee -- Coulson (on the theory that Dee and Coulson have similar 'voice that brings them home' roles.)
Helo -- Thor

I thought of Sam at Thor, because it brings in the from-another-Earth thing, plus Leoben could be Loki, as Lyssie pointed out. But then Hawkeye becomes a problem, and it's more fun to write my ship as Clint and Natasha running around being spies and shooting stuff.*g*

Which of course, is what I've been writing! It's supposed to be Avengers!Kara and Sam shooting things. But I realized it really is Clint and Natasha, for all practical purposes, so maybe I should change the names. Or I can post the fusion version here for my BSG friends to get a kick out of, and then I'll switch it for wider distribution. Or I don't know. Thoughts? MY LIFE IS HARD YO

Caprica as Pepper amuses me, but I STILL HAVE NOT SEEN THE AVENGERS! WTF, UNIVERSE? WTF?

well, at this point you'll probably be disappointed after everyone's gone and had a cow over it! but try and keep your expectations to "summer popcorn superhero movie" and you'll be okay. :)

Honestly? Post as Avengers (on AO3 or wherever the buzz is happening) and then come back and post your fusion for the old-timey BSGers here. Honestly, girl, you DESERVE the kudos, and a living, breathing fandom is where it's at. *HUGS YOU SUPER TIGHT* So happy to hear you're continuing to be as prolific as ever! K :D

Looking forward to reading EITHER version. I have a full-on-fangirl-love of Blackeye, and of course Kara / Sam's not too shabby either! :D

Really interesting ideas there, one slight issue though, Natasha is as psychologically sound as it's possible to be and as much as I love her, Kara always had a full subscription to "Emotional issues Monthly." Helo as Thor though, most definitely.

yeah, obvs parallels aren't perfect. And in a fusion-verse it tends to turn into a mashup of neither character really in order to get them to slot in place. Which is what made this a problem at all -- if she was more thoroughly "Starbuck" I'd have to fix too much, but since she's not.... *shrug*

I am very torn. On the one hand, I want the fusion for hilarity's sake. On the other hand, if it's Clint and Natasha, it's probably better to change names and post to the Avengers section as there's not enough of them out there (or so I hear)

YES THIS IS MY PROBLEM. but I think I will do that - It kinda works better I think as a straight Avengers since it's more heavily weighted character wise toward them, but it is very fun to have Kara and Sam running around on rooftops shooting stuff. :)

So I think I'll finish this as AU!Kara/Sam and post it here for fun, but fix it up and post it more widely as straight CB/NR

Yeah, I kind of adore this idea. Each of those works really well. Poor earnest Lee is totally Cap :)
