lizardbeth: (Helo-Sharon fanfic)

I have questions!

hrm. so I have this porny ficlet (Summoning, ths Sam/Lee, Dark Magic AU). I wrote it for the sexytiems of it, and now it's kind of blossoming into this full story in my brain. however, the ficlet is basically the climax (hee, climax. Literally AND um, literarily.) all the rest of the story would be the set up and resolution after that ficlet, and feature a third party (Kara). SO. Wise flist:

Do I leave the ficlet as is, write a prequel and a sequel and then make them into a short trilogy?
Do I write one story incorporting the ficlet again?
Do I write the story and skim over the ficlet, referencing it in notes someplace?

What say you?

hee, no, I don't think I've read it.. But thanks for the suggestion!

My plan (such as it is) was the prequel would be how they got into this mess, and show a bit more of the actual love story. The middle is well, this, basically, how it all goes to hell. And the story afterward is Kara comes and cleans it up.

But no, Lee is the necromancer. (Law=wizardry, see. lol) And in desperation and grief he dabbles in THE DARK ARTS to bring Sam back, not realizing the cost, of course.

this is why you are brllnt; law as arts that can become dark = yessss. o, lee. always selling his soul for the wrong things and reasons--i was rewatching w spouse, and he was like, "does lee ever stop giving himself completely to people and causes that utterly frak him over?" and i said, "uhhhh... no. not really. there's just more or less foreknowledge of the misery." but i kind of like that about him, because he's earnest sometimes and cynical sometimes and it's all very real (which i didn't see the first time around), that quest to find the thing to give yourself to. eric hoffer would be twistedly proud.
i want to read this, whatever it is, that you write. because it's gonna be great. i don't leave a lot of feedback because my thoughts are really random and disarranged usually, but what you write maketh my heart to be glad (and sad, and so on; your bsg novels got me thru detox, and that's saying something), so again. best!
