Things that need doing
And this is purely fannish things:

-twelve_colonies FINAL BATTLE boy am I gonna be writing some crap fic for that.
- catch up some on DW.
- and this is not even talking about the two longfics (BLack Sails and Shadow in the Pattern) which are stalled.
All of that, of course, explains why I have 2K of John May and Lisa V fic. A show I barely watched like four episodes of. *throws up hands in the air* I DON'T EVEN KNOW
So I went and watched "Impossible Astronaut" without watching S.5 and without even watching the BBC clip show. And, while I know I missed some context to things, I never felt like I was missing too much that it wasn't understandable. And THEN I watched the clip show and got a little more of the backstory.
And now I've started slowly to make my way backwards. Unfortunatey stupid on-demand only has the last four eps of S.5, so I've now seen the Van Gogh episode too.
SO LET ME PUT THIS VERY CLEARLY: I LOVE ALL OF THEM. Eleven, Amy, Rory, and River (though obv I don't know Rory all that well yet). But haters gonna hate, and all that, but eh, fandom. Think I'll stay in my OMG HAPPY BUBBLE.

Yeah...If you want to stay in a happy bubble, I suggest not venturing out into the fandom. There's a crap-load of River hate out there, though not quite as much as there used to be. Rory & Amy don't fair so well, either :(
BUT THEY ARE ALL FABULOUS, AS WERE ALL OF THE PREVIOUS COMPANIONS!!! And 11 is my favorite Doctor, of the ones I've seen.

From what I've seen the... season five-focused communities are fairly fine. the River, Eleven, Amy and Amy/Rory places, that is. It's just the wider fandom, who are a bit... less fine (most of my flist is full of glee)
