Fannish to-do list

Inspired by ivanolix who just did this, I thought I should make a list of the fannish things I am doing. Luckily I am NOT actually committed to many things.



1. Epic V/Castle Crossover of DOOOOOOOOOM. About 4K short of finished. So... THISCLOSE to being done, if I can get some time to finish it off.

(I see I'm not the only one with an idea like this, because there's a V/24 crossover at ao3. Comes from setting V in New York I guess. lol)

2. My vampirebigbang entry. The fic previously intended for spn_j2_bigbang before I punted the hell out of it. Which is supposed to be my Castiel AU.

Of course now I'm thinking of doing something related to Vampire Diaries instead. Maybe a Dean and Sam come to Mystic Falls fic. But y'know what I'd really like to do? I want to write about how Jacob from LOST was Stefan's mentor. Yes, I'm a crazy person. I know.

So many vampires, so little time! So clearly I need to PICK A STORY before I can do anything for this challenge.

3. Black Sails. I keep poking at this, but not really progressing much. I'm to a part I don't really WANT to do, so it's kind of hard to make myself do it. I keep wondering if I should sign up for bsg_bigbang to give myself the deadline, but I also don't know if I want to put it out there in a huge chunk either.


4. Wingfic. Which is still not finished, because I still don't know how it ends. *sigh* I would like to get it out there one of these days, I just have to sit down and figure it out.


*sigh*

You notice how they're all GINORMOUS? yeah. Hopefully once I finish the crossover fic I'll have that "yay I finished something!" excitement to keep me going on the other stuff.

I'm torn on doing bsg big bang, too. Like, I don't have any 'big' ideas, so I've not got any clue what to write? But I feel like I should, to add more Kara/Sam and such into the mix.

Also, I have such gleeee, about the Castle/V crossover. =D

Pretty much any idea you had would be more diverse than what's likely to show up, sigh. So do it! ;-)

At this point, I'm sort of going, "Crossover? AU? Wierd universe where Kara is a cop and Sam is the local FBI?" Yes. My brain is odd. =D

yeah, it's hard with any big bang if you don't have a big idea, that's for sure. That's my problem with the other one. But more K/S would be awesome!

Heh, I'm always too cautious to start longfics if I don't know how they're going to end...I admire your plotting-on-the-go skills!

And even though I signed up for the BSG Big Bang, it's a pretty close deadline for first drafts, so I'm not sure I won't have to back out at the end (or just be one of those late people who needs a lightning-quick beta at the end to squeeze it in before finals are due)...

the wingfic was my twelve_colonies longfic and I have two potential endings for it - one is MUCH shorter than the other, so of course is appealing for that reason (much less to do!) but I'm pretty sure the longer would work better.

Yeah, the draft is a quick deadline for the big bang, which also makes me concerned. I do have enough, probably, already done, (not to mention the previous installments are fine for art anyway since the set up is the same). Plus, deadlines=good and art=good. But on the other, I don't want to rush it or overcommit with summer coming up and my time being far less my own. *sigh*

Actually its funny but mostly I'm thinking of branching out a litle I love Kara/Sam but I finally feel ready to get back to Jericho(the first fandom I wrote for) and maybe branch out a little. I have about a half dozen other fandoms I could try, I feel like experimenting. I'm still gonna write Kara/Sam but I want to play around with some other toys too.

sadly, I think most of are moving on or certainly aren't exclusively BSG writers, for sure.. It was pretty inevitable when canon closed but still...
