Supernatural 418

BRB.

NEED OXYGEN.

Ok, first things first. HERE IS A LINK TO THE BOOK they are talking about in the title.

Back to the episode.

*DYING OF LAUGHTER*

Is there a show in the history of EVER who has actually used the word SLASH in a fannish context? *giggles like a maniac*

"Don't they know we're brothers?" "THAT'S SO SICK."
*dies*

(and really, fandom, get over yourself. If you can't laugh at this because you're offended Kripke's making fun of you, well, Fandom Wank would like to point out that SUpernatural fans ARE CRAZY. It wasn't mean, it was TRUE. Besides, it's not like they weren't making fun of themselves too.)

"boy, for fans, they sure do complain a lot."

The fangirl publisher and quizzing them to establish fannish cred? TATTOOES!

"Is this a Misery thing?" *snicker*

As I said to [livejournal.com profile] lucyparavel in chat, who was the recipient of all my flailing, about half way through when the minivan hit Dean, "Poor Boys. They're just starting to figure out WHATEVER HAPPENED, HAPPENED." (show collision alert!)

And CASTIEL! woo hoo! showing some subtlety and helping. "I'm totally not helping you. You should, however, ask me WHY I can't help you...."

THE WINCHESTER GOSPEL. *requires oxygen* I even knew that was coming, but seeing it in context, just about killed me. oh, and his bit about "you should've seen LUke." *giggles again*

On to the not funny parts:

How high up is Zachariah? Because he seemed to know what Chuck saw. And how many layers of angelic bureaucracy ARE there? No wonder they had a bit of a rebellion in the, um, junior manager? ranks...

So prophets are the record-keepers, basically - they chronicle events (whether before or after events, I don't think it matters probably, since they do it with a direct pipeline to God.) and they are untouchable. Untouchable to the point that a 4-star general in the Army of the Lord comes down to smite anyone who tries to harm him - even Lillith (though with plenty of time for her to get away, so it's not exactly a vending machine either where you hold a knife to Chuck's throat and out comes the smite stick)'

Okay, sorry, that's all I can manage, because I'm remembering:

"There are 'dean girls' and "sam girls""

WHY SO AWESOME, SHOW???

(and next week's episode title? "JUMP THE SHARK"!!!!!)

oh, I feel like I should do some kind of smart compare-contrast with Wormhole X-Treme or Heroes, but I CAN'T THINK.

BEST FRAKKING EPISODE EVER! AND THAT'S INCLUDING THE OTHER TWO THAT I WATCHED YESTERDAY ONLINE! OMG!

(Have you really seen some of SPN fandom up-in-arms offended??? O_o)

was that not the FUNNEST EPISODE in FOREVER? alkdhjfashdfkjhsjdfh

I love that bit when Castiel gives Dean the hint, and then his face is all "didja get it? Didja see what I did there?" he's so cute. *smooshes him* lol.

Of course, it's the ep I forgot to DVR. oops. Well, I'll just have to ahem it.

And yes, *sigh* no one I "know" personally, but I have seen edges of it, in friendsfriends. I presume they are special snowflake Wincesters who don't like to be mocked, but I dunno.

[identity profile] sabaceanbabe.livejournal.com 2009-04-03 04:20 pm (UTC)(link)
The only Wincesters I've seen post about it are both on my flist and both loved it. In fact, one of them was all "Wincest being squicky is canon, LOL!"

The chick who won a vid from me in the last Sweet Charity is going to want another SPN vid. I have a feeling whatever I do is going to rely HEAVILY on this last batch of episodes. :P

Heh, I keep thinking I'll quit this show, but then....

THAT WAS AWESOME! *g*

and next week's episode title? "JUMP THE SHARK"!!!!
Really? *cackles*

*watches again, continues to cackle*

This could've fallen SO flat and horrible, but man, it was just ON.

I LOVE SPN so much right now. I know a lot of people are hating on the biblical arc. But I think it's fascinating. I like how this show isn't afraid to mock itself. I thought they were awesome with "Hollywood Babylon" but this with the slash and fangirl references is priceless.

OMG the tattoo's heee! I want to see bloopers from that episode!

I agree with everything that you said. I want to know more about this angelic intrigue.

The Winchester gospel! And Castiel's one liner about Luke!

I didn't know the title of next weeks show. But come on what show would have a title of "Jump the Shark"?!?!

OMG, bloopers! CANNOT WAIT! Like, how many times did Misha have to say that Winchester Gospel line before he could do it so deadpan AND nobody else cracked up?

I love all apocalypse stuff and the introduction of the angels. It's not like any of this is any more 'real' to me than the vampires and ghosts on the show, y'know? It's all part of the show's pretend universe, not mine. So I don't take any of it personally.

I love apocalypse stuff too! But some people on my flist are really turned off my the biblical stuff. I think of it as mythology just like Stargate or something. I don't think it's all preachy and literal.

So I enjoy where the mythos is going. Plus it does seem like a natural progression after several seasons of demons. Angels are the opposite or demons so to me it makes sense.

I want to see the bloopers of the slash line that Jared and to get out. I'm sure he and Jensen just lost it trying to be serious about they do know we're brothers and all that.
