it shouldn't really be funny, but

Kidlet dropped his underpants into the toilet. While it was flushing. And I, brave mommy that I am, tried to catch them, plunging my hand in.

SWING! AND A MISS!

Fortunately we seem to have avoided plumbing meltdown, despite Speed Racer underwear in the pipes someplace...

My question pertains to the contents of said toilet when brave mommy plunged her hand in...

It's funny how mommy's don't think about that...
I'm done the similar plunge after a pacifire, not even thinking that said device would be tossed out once snatched.

did you catch it? cuz, man, I was pissed that I missed!

Yeah actually.
They have a little more weight/mass than underwear.

And I drooled on your icon.

hee! luckily it was nothing too terrible, and we had soap nearby!

I've never reached into the toilet, but I have caught vomit in my hands. Where that particular reflex came from, I don't know.

HAHAHAHAHAH... my younger brother (now 29) will NEVER EVER live down the time he clogged the plumbing as a result of giving his G.I. Joe action figures a burial at sea. Heeheeheehee! So you can torment Kidlet with the disappearance of Speed Racer for years to come. ;)

[identity profile] lizardbeth-j.livejournal.com 2009-03-10 05:11 pm (UTC)(link)
burial at sea? *snorfle* I can just imagine every time the plumbing ever got stuck after that, someone would ask if he was doing funerals for GI Joe again.

Would this be a good time to mention that bandit cichlids over 6" across don't flush either. They get stuck. (And then the womenfolk go make the man do a "man job.) LOL!!!!! New rule at our house - never buy a fish that will grow too large to flush!

I'm really glad we have a tiny goldfish now! :)

Luckily it appears that it's the treatment plant that's going to have to deal with the underpants. *knock wood*
