Weather report
Today was sunny and dry, with the possibility of smoke and hacking coughs. Yep, it's wildfire season again. Still. joy.
But it was warm enough to grill, so there's a silver lining, I guess.
I bought shoes today, cute little canvas mary jane-type things for casual wear, now that sandals are no longer in season. which won't stop me from wearing them - it's California. c'mon I have faux-uggs for a COSTUME, I never wear them...
Supernatural inspired me to dig out "Good Omens." *loves on this book liek whoa*
'Crowley who did not Fall from heaven "so much as saunter vaguely downward...."'
And for all of you out there who have or are writing something (especially co-writing) - Neil Gaiman sent the first six pages of "Good Omens" to Terry Pratchett, and it sat in Pratchett's drawer for SIX YEARS, before he saw how it continued. Which is sort of the opposite of the NaNo lesson, but still... useful to think about.

BTW, I read that book for the first time this summer. I adore it so much. It's one of my faves ever.

And yeah, six years, that's what it says in the authors' notes in the back. I guess brilliance really does take time to simmer.
