My little scenelet rewrite has jumped from 400 words to 1400. Now, I know it was short (that's why I'm rewriting it in the first place) but STILL! I kept trying to shorten it up as I went, but after giving into the inevitable, decided I should write it out as long it wants to be and then trim it afterward.
Why is it the stories I WANT to keep going and finish don't, and the stories which are already long enough are inspired by rabid muses? :\
ETA: OTOH, thank you, story and muses, for making me re-watch Downloaded.
Also, Hilliard was most def a C Buc (which I thought, but I'd forgotten there was a reason I thought that), since he has the same outfit as Sam. And Jean probably was - she has an insignia jacket (though in grey, not black) and her shirt is in their colors reversed. She might have been a coach or trainer of some kind, not necessarily a player, but she was involved in the team (unless she's just borrowing the clothes, of course...)
