So today I took out my new shave gel and it has, in big letters, on the front: "LOTIONIZED". I guess, 'moisturizing' was passe, and so now we've got a pretend word in its place. And then, because they think they're so clever with their new word, the back copy of the bottle has to repeat it three times.

People, just because you keep saying it, doesn't make it any less STUPID.

This is almost as irritating as the way "luxury apartments" refers to everything, including crack houses falling down in with the weight of the housing code violations.

In other WTF? news, I have 3500 words of a new Sam AU. Which I wrote. TODAY. It rarely happens that I write that much in a day. I was possessed or something. And it's not done yet.

IT'S ALL LEOBEN'S FAULT. And Cylon!Sam wouldn't shut up.

How about this--unrelated, except maybe only in how much it annoys me. Why do some people, when they fuck up and email a reply to a whole listserv (rather than to its singular recipient), often send ANOTHER listserv email explaining how they're SORRY FOR CLOGGING YOUR INBOXES? I have a hard time believing them, honestly.

But yay for writing jags, and for Cylon!Sam! What's it about?

most advertising lingo doesn't bother me so much, but lotionized just seemed particularly egregious somehow. Grump.

Ah yes, the old "i'm sorry I spammed you all" spam. I remember those days. The reverse was annoying too, if less so - when you send only one person the story or whatever you meant to send to the whole list. I never noticed for days sometimes, especially since back then the lists were somewhat irregular anyway...

heh. Sam realizes he's a Cylon during the original attacks on the Colonies. This causes him some... problems. :)
