Oh, yeah, that's true. It was rather heavy-handed.
But on one level it made me happy, because for as long as he's been on the show Sam has always, to my mind, been the kind of guy who cares less about winning records and mindblowing stats and more about the love of the game.
And it was kind of nice for me to have that kind of validation. *g*
