Why hello there abandoned DW. It's been since JULY. oops.

First, there was the NOVEL that ate my brain!

The Road to Tartarus
SG-1, Sam/Malek, Malek/Baal, NC-17
In the wake of a devastating attack on the Tok'ra, Sam becomes host to a larval Tok'ra queen. As she faces the consequences of becoming an alien on her homeworld, Malek's host Asheron discovers the terrible consequences of his long-ago vengeance. But when an old enemy stirs, Asheron finds that the price of Sam's life may be his own soul.

What do you do when the one who knows you best is a Goa'uld?

97,000 words of pure minor character pairing, h/c, and angst. I really should pimp it around one of these days.

Second, there was BSG Fic:
THE HIGH COST OF LIVING
Kara/Sam, 4.5 canon.
Death comes for Sam; he refuses the call this time.

I snagged a Geocities Rescue invite into Archive of Our Own so I've been uploading my old stuff there. I am Lizardbeth, not surprisingly.

Otherwise there was vacation, being jealous of DragonCon peeps, kidlet going back to school, one Pet Shop Boys Concert of Awesome, and most of a week without internet because TimeWarner sucks.

You guys, I HAS ART for The Road to Tartarus! I didn't get the "official" art, but instead, [livejournal.com profile] wandstonecloak (aka Atlantis Abydos on DeviantArt) read all three stories in my Asheron Series and then made ART for them! Completely unrequested, unexpected -- just because it was inspiring.

Isn't that the coolest thing? I've never had anyone make art for my stories before, and I love them so much.

First is an illustration of Malek/Asheron from Tok'ra Allegiance, and Asheron's flashback to the past when he recalls how Ishtar murdered his daughter.

And the second is a really amazing and HOT pic/cover art of Baal and Asheron for The Road to Tartarus. NSFW

you should check them out! )

AWESOME, YES?

The Road to Tartarus
by Lizardbeth

In the wake of a devastating attack on the Tok'ra, Sam becomes host to a larval Tok'ra queen. As she faces the consequences of becoming an alien on her homeworld, Malek's host Asheron discovers the terrible consequences of his long-ago vengeance. But when an old enemy stirs, Asheron finds that the price of Sam's life may be his own soul.

Fandom: Stargate SG-1 (with a touch of Stargate Atlantis)
Pairings: Sam/Malek, Malek/Baal
Rating: Mature
Warnings: Sex (m/m and m/f), violence, implications of torture and consent issues.
Previously: The third in the Asheron Series begun with Tok'ra Allegiance and Going Home. Those are useful background, particularly for Sam and Asheron/Malek's relationship and how the Tok'ra were destroyed, but you can read this just fine without them.
Spoilers: This is AU (well, duh), but since it parallels canon in S. 8 and part of S.9, contains some spoilers through mid-S.9.
Wordcount: 97,000

Notes: Written for the SG-1 Big Bang Challenge [livejournal.com profile] stargate_summer. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] newroticgirl for her notes under difficult circumstances. All errors are my own. Also, I spell it 'Baal', because extra apostrophes are annoying.

Special thank you to [livejournal.com profile] rosiethehobbit who has been patiently waiting for this to be finished for YEARS. You have been my personal cheerleader for this project for so long, R -- I can only hope it's worth the wait! :)

And Special THANK YOU to [livejournal.com profile] wandstonecloadk (aka Atlantis Abydos at DeviantArt) who made art for this story, completely out of the blue!

Title: Five Sunrises that Malek Saw
Author: Lizardbeth
Words: 3,254
Summary: The Tau'ri have a saying, "It's always darkest before the dawn." But in space, the sun never rises. Five moments of light and dark in Asheron and Malek's life.

Note: These ficlets feature Asheron, my host for Malek from my stories "Tok'ra Allegiance" and "Going Home" and will probably not make much sense without reading them first. These snapshots are in chronological order. Five Sunrises )

Now, the final chapter.

Chapter Thirteen )

I hope you enjoyed it! I'd love to know what people thought. If you need to catch up, you can go to the FRONT PAGE for the index of chapters.

Stay tuned! [livejournal.com profile] stargate_summer is doing an hodgepodge amnesty week in September. I'm planning some commentary and some deleted scenes.

Title: Going Home
Rating: R
Genre: Adventure, Romance, Season 8 AU
Series: Sequel to ' Tok'ra Allegiance', second in the Asheron series
Pairing: Sam/Malek
Words: ~35,000

Summary: The last few Tok'ra find refuge on Earth after a devastating attack, and discover that their future lies in the secrets of Malek's past, while Sam finds something she never expected.

Notes: Ishtar, the Goa'uld queen introduced in my story "Tok'ra Allegiance" is no relation to Ishta, the Jaffa priestess. Ishtar was a goddess of the Babylonian pantheon, famous for her role in the epic of Gilgamesh.

This was originally posted online back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth (before I came to LJ), but all have been combined into one file here (go, DW, go!). I've made some minor edits to the story, but it's mostly as it was back then.

Going Home )

Bonus ficlets: Five Sunrises: five moments of light and dark in Asheron's life

To be continued in The Road to Tartarus in one short week. *gulp*

( GOING HOME )

After Going Home there are a set of ficlets, Five Sunrises , that parallel and preview the forthcoming sequel, The Road to Tartarus. I put it on LJ back in 06, when I thought Tartarus would be coming out "soon". Jeez, can I write slower?

FORTHCOMING IN ONE WEEK. One week! After all this time! *flips out in excitement*
Title: Tok'ra Allegiance
Series: First of the Asheron Series
Rating: PG, Gen

Summary: The Tok'ra side of the episode, "Allegiance".

Notes: This was originally written during Season Six (yes, it's THAT old *g*). Features Malek and introduces my host for Malek, Asheron. This is an archival repost, taking advantage of DW longer posting limit and prepping for the soonish post of The Road to Tartarus, which is the next in the series.

Disclaimer: This story re-uses some of the dialogue from the episode, "Allegiance", written by Peter Deluise. Except I totally made up the Goa'uld word for the DHD.

Tok'ra Allegiance )

I'm going to repost the sequel here as well, as soon as I figure out how many parts it'll have to be over here.

Damn geocities for closing on me. *shakes tiny fist*
